Smells Like the Holidays
/I have been trying to hold off on the whole holiday thing this year but it's extremely hard.
The world is like "YOU WILL BE MERRY RIGHT NOW! FORGET THANKSGIVING! DECK THOSE HALLS! TRIM THAT TREE!"
I fought the good fight until a package filled with Frasier Fir products from Thymes appeared on my doorstep.
Did you know that it is your sense of smell that evokes the strongest memories? I opened my box from Thymes and instantly wanted to string some lights and watch Elf. Right then. Who needs turkey and stuffing?
Nate and I have been on the hunt for a holiday product that delivers the smell of a bed of crisp, just-cut forest needles. You know, that cozy and comforting holiday smell. We both have amazing memories of traipsing through the Christmas tree farm. I remember not being able to feel my fingers and my brother plastering snowballs at my face. Nate remembers the hours spent in the freezing cold as his family of 5 all tried to agree on one tree.
Our Christmas tree farm scars have led us to artificial trees as adults. We both, however, really miss that real tree fragrance. We have tried a handful of products over the years and we have been repeatedly let down. Most of them smelled like Christmas tree perfume. Not exactly the cozy, holiday fragrance we were looking for.
The hunt is over. Thymes Frasier Fir seriously has the most amazing real tree smell. We were both shocked at how much these products smell like the real deal. Before the package arrived, I was nervous I would need to decline the partnership. I couldn't recommend a horribly perfumy product. Now I want to spread the products all around my house! Luckily they have dish soap, cleaning spray and bathroom products. I love that Thymes products are skin-compatible, environmentally friendly and not tested on animals.
Thymes products would make great hostess gifts or holidays gifts for the hard to buy for on your list. They not only smell amazing but come in beautiful packaging. Most of the products you could just slap a gift tag on the box and run out the door.
You could pair a candle with a handmade gnome!
Even though I was hesitant to start, it's nice having a few things checked off the ol' holiday checklist.
