I love Christmas. I love children’s books. Combine those together and you have some of my favorite things. Most we own. Some we borrow from the library (and most usually end up in our collection the following year.) This year I started doing a “December box” that includes a holiday book for each kiddo and matching pajamas. I hope to continue you that for years to come.

Fall is in full swing here in Iowa! We like to take advantage of the nice temperatures and muted colors for our yearly family photos. Outfits for family photos can sometimes be difficult to choose so today I’m sharing my top 10 tips for choosing outfits for family pictures.

I know some people dread family photos. Good photographers can be expensive. You have to cross your fingers that there’s some kind of lunar pull during your scheduled hour to ensure everyone is in a good mood, the weather cooperates and you’re having a good hair day. You also have to make sure everyone has on clothes. Preferably coordinating and clean. Yet also comfortable. This is no small feat. The memories captured, however, will be 100% worth it.

Exhibit B: Our baby's favorite "toy" is an old Bob's Big Boy Burger bank.  Out of all of the toys in his nursery, his favorite thing to look at/play with is Big Boy.  "Big Boy" was even one of his first set of words. He only said it in a whisper which made it even more hilarious.
